My senior project for the Graphic Design course at Grand Valley State University.

To get right to the point, THE NEXUS is essentially LinkedIn but exclusively for people who practice creative disciplines. Born from my distaste for using the actual LinkedIn, I wanted to create a networking site where people who work in creative fields can create a profile, provide samples of their work and links to their portfolio so that anyone who has any need for someone with a creative skill can easily find that person, view their portfolio, and get in touch with them.

In keeping with the theme of getting right to the point, a key feature of THE NEXUS are the colored circular icons that appear on each user’s profiles. These icons represent a user’s current status and availability for any of the following:

Full-Time Position (Green), Freelance (Yellow), Collaboration with other creatives (Blue) and Lack of Current Availability, but still wanting your profile to be out there (Red).
